STORM RECOVERY ALERT, SUNDAY, MAY 19, 2024--The majority of Downtown has reopened and Downtown Houston+ Cleaning and Safety Ambassadors have returned to regular schedules. Road closures for a few blocks will continue until pedestrian and traffic access is deemed safe, but the majority of Downtown is open for business. Events in Lynn Wyatt Square are cancelled, but Discovery Green programming has resumed. Created by Texas artist and educator, James Surls, Points of View is an abstract sculpture is made of treated pine and painted steel. At 25 ft x 8 ft x 4 ft, the work has stood at Market Square Park since being dedicated in 1992.
