What's New in Downtown

Samba Night at the Plaza!

Jones Plaza, b/w Texas & Capitol Ave. and Louisiana and Smith Street
 
Brazilian music and samba will light up Jones Plaza for this inaugural event.  Warm-up to the beat of Samba with lots of batucada - Brazilian drums - and feel the rhythm of Brazil in downtown Houston.  Watch the amazing acrobatics of Capoeira Luanda who will perform the ritualized moves accompanied by a single-stringed berimbau and hand-clapping. $5 // children under 5 are free.
