In 1959, The Sacred Heart Parish became co-equal in rank under the Diocese with St. Mary Cathedral in Galveston. The exterior and interior of the Cathedral complement each other in stunning design including one hundred and eight stained glass panels and windows. Historic tours are given of the Cathedral at varying times that can be found on their website. Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral hopes that everyone feels welcomed and at home.
