Get all wet beneath the giant sprinkler

There’s always something fun going at Discovery Green, aka "One of America’s Coolest City Parks." Beginning Friday at 11 a.m. and continuing through Sunday, the downtown park across the street from the George R. Brown Convention Center will be home to a supersized sprinkler, sponsored by Target. Entrance is free for kids and families. Just bring a swimsuit. The giant sprinkler sits on top of a large base that captures and recycles the water from the sprinkler back into a reservoir where it is filtered and purified and reused. The sprinkler hours are 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. all three days.
