The Shrew, Steaks & Shakespeare Giveaway

This week you have the chance to win:

2 tickets to The Taming the Shrew, presented by Houston Ballet

$50 toward food (alcohol excluded) at Samba Grille, a South American steakhouse.

Enter here. By entering this contest, you will be subscribed to the Downtown Happenings newsletter, a short and sweet email sent out every Thursday’s with our top picks and deals of what’s going on downtown. Check out this week’s newsletter here.

The Taming of the Shrew is masterful choreographic depiction of Shakespeare's perpetually battling lovers, Petruchio and Katherina, and of Petruchio's determination to bend the feisty, independent-spirited and tempestuous Katherina to his will. Incorporating a stunning array of dramatic moods, virtuoso dancing and vivid characterization, The Taming of the Shrew conveys like no other ballet Shakespeare's wit, brilliant comic invention and sharp understanding of human character.

Samba Grille is a South American restaurant serving steaks, seafood and fresh vegetables. We had a chance to review the restaurant earlier this year and loved it! But don’t take it from us. Yelp reviewers and Houston Chronicle’s Alison Cook will samba for Samba Grille, too.

Good news... you can increase your chances with a double entry!

Here’s how you enter:

1. After reading the rules, fill out this form

2. For a double entry, tweet “I want The Shrew, Steaks & Shakespeare in @downtownhouston  http://tinyurl.com/44wwzxk” Keep in mind, if your twitter profile is private, we will not be able to see this second entry.

By entering the contest, you agree to the rules. Here’s the important stuff: Must be a Texas resident over the age of 21. Contest ends Thursday, June 9 at 12:01 am.
