Houston is in full-on prep mode for the NCAA® Final Four®—a five day event starting March 31 through April 4-- with dozens of official NCAA® events that will undoubtedly spawn hundreds of unofficial gatherings in the greater Houston area.
In a few weeks, the NCAA will announce its officially-sponsored fan gathering locations that will be held at restaurants and bars in the Downtown/Midtown zone, the Galleria/Uptown District zone, the Washington Avenue zone and the Reliant Stadium area. We’ll report all the details as soon as we hear the word.
Each of these events requires immense support and love from the City of Houston and YOU, the residents. You may have heard Clyde Drexler’s call for volunteers at Root Memorial Square on January 12, where Drexler touted his pride for the city and encouraged residents to get involved.
"Having a chance to host a Final Four here in Houston is monumental," said Drexler. "This is another great event, one that I'm very close to and very fond of."
Volunteers are needed from February to April, to provide an enthusiastic welcome to fans from all over the world and provide information to visitors and locals. Let’s show our visitors why Houston is so great!
