    We were thrilled this week that City Council unanimously voted to expand the Downtown Living Initiative (DLI) from a cap of 2,500 residential units to 5,000 units by June30, 2016.

    The FotoFest 2014 Biennial

    March 15 - April 27, 2014

    The FotoFest 2014 Biennial returns to Houston starting on March 15th. The event was created in 1986 as the first-ever international biennial of photography and photo-related art in the U.S. and has occurred every other year since then. 2014 marks the 15th Biennial and this year’s theme, “Contemporary Arab Photographic Art,” undoubtedly echoes the festival’s mission of emphasizing discovery, internationalism, social commitment, and global/local perspectives.

    We recently got a backstage tour of the House of Blues in downtown Houston and of course it was just as amazing as any music lover would imagine it to be. House of Blues is home to a two-story Music Hall, the intimate Bronze Peacock Room, the Foundation Room and the Crossroads Restaurant and Bar. While many people have been to concerts at the popular music venue very few are aware its history, the uniquely decorative features, or the new and exciting events happening there weekly.
