FOR WELL over a decade downtown Houston had been serviced by four hotels, with approximately 1,800 rooms. But the demand for hotel rooms in downtown Houston has increased, and hoteliers and investors have responded. With new hotels added in 2001 through 2004, downtown Houston’s hotel room count has reached 4,858. Aggregate revenues of downtown hotels between 2000 and 2005 increased by 126%.

Downtown offers variety in hotel options including large convention hotels such as Hilton Americas, which is directly connected to the George R. Brown Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency and Doubletree, luxurious service at the Four Seasons and beautiful historic options with Hotel Icon, Alden and Magnolia Houston.
