ATA Houston, a nonprofit organization, will be hosting the 27th Annual Houston Turkish Festival after a four-year hiatus. 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye, and the festival will be at its new venue for this special celebration, The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park. The festival will have onstage entertainment featuring performances from local and international artists such as Yeni Turku, a globally-renowned Turkish band, and Tuana, a dance troupe that has performed in 45 countries. In addition, the festival will host a wide variety of arts and crafts, a market with local vendors, Turkish food, beer and wine, Turkish coffee, and a dedicated children’s area. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to earthquake relief efforts in Turkey.
