What is a Mom Prom?

​It's all the fun of a regular prom, without the awkward slow dancing or tacky corsage. No matter how long it's been since your own prom, you are cordially invited to a reinvented version of the high school rite of passage at the first annual Mom Prom benefiting Houston Angels, a local nonprofit supporting the foster care community.

 

You don't have to be a mom to attend; just a woman who is looking for a much-needed night out with the girls!

 

Mom Prom will be open to all women ages 21+ and mirrors a typical high school prom with some fantastic grown-up additions (can you say prom-tini?!)

 

Fancy attire is encouraged – old prom dresses, bridesmaid's dresses, Mother of the bride dresses, thrift store dresses...​whatever makes you feel fancy. Keep in mind there will be some awards such as the biggest hair, the best retro dress, the most glamorous dress, and you better believe we will absolutely be crowning a prom queen.
