GJ Tavern, the Downtown Houston tavern from Underbelly Hospitality, will host an intimate six-course dinner experience featuring wine pairings. Chef Tim Reading’s menu will include:

First course: East Coast Oyster Caviar paired with Guy Larmandier Cramant

Second course: Scallop Crudo (lemon, dragon fruit, prosciutto and sorrel) paired with Remi Jobard Bourgogne 2018

Third course: Smoked Trout (confit endive, lemon, dill, goat cheese and capers) paired with Chateau Carbonnieux Sauvignon Blanc 2019

Fourth course: Seared Duck (pecorino and cherry duck jus) paired with Egelhoff Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2014

Fifth course: Braised Veal (local beans, pickled pearl onion and mini-Yorkshire pudding) paired with Arnot Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon 2016

Sixth course: Blue Cheese (peach, fig, and truffle honey) paired with Warre’s Late Bottled Vintage 2008
