Details
On Friday, October 24, 2025, Architecture Center Houston will open Nuestro Ambiente: Latinos Shaping Houston, presented by the Latinos in Architecture Committee. The exhibition will run through January 30, 2026, with a free community reception on opening night from 5:30 – 7:30 PM.
Nuestro Ambiente explores how Houston’s Latino communities have shaped the city’s cultural and built environment—through neighborhoods like Second Ward, Magnolia Park, Gulfton, and Near Northside, and through the architects, engineers, builders, and community leaders who have left a lasting impact. Through immersive graphics, displays, and sound, the exhibit will bring to life the food, music, art, and stories that embody Houston’s most authentic ambiente.
