Big Art. Bigger Change. “Unity” Mural

“Unity” is a mural celebrating the importance of unity and inclusivity. It is inspired by the March 1960 demonstrations and staged sit-ins led by Texas Southern University (TSU) black students that successfully and peacefully ended segregation at Houston stores and lunch counters. The mural is aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5, 10, 11, 16. Learn more from writer, historian and filmmaker Professor Thomas Cole in the app Behind The Wall, as he tells you more about the unity behind the desegregation movement in Houston. ARTIST: @alexarzu
