WindowWorks: Usagi Wasabi
Currently on View

All Is Right In The Jungle is a colorful piece inspired by Usagi Wasabi's love for animals. Her fondness for felines led her to illustrate a mother tiger and her cubs. The color palette reflects the street art observed on a recent trip to Austin, with Wasabi choosing to paint the animals in an unconventional light.

A BIG thank you goes to The Americana for allowing use to utilize the windows of their property at 811 Dallas.

Wendy Delgado [aka Usagi Wasabi] is a native Houstonian who creates art by drawing, painting and relief printmaking. Her appreciation for the arts began at an early age as her mother fueled her creativity with ballet and piano lessons. In high school, she began exploring photography and diversifying her skill in a variety of art mediums. Her passion for illustration and watercolors came while studying fashion design in college, and in 2011, Wendy established her own design brand and began selling fashion accessories at local trade shows. Learning the ropes of running a small business, she began to grow the courage to finally sell her original artwork, and in 2015 she established Usagi Wasabi. Her works now include an expansive portfolio of works in watercolor, acrylic, relief printmaking and gouache.
