Gentle Giant/ Tiger in the Tropics/ Savannah Soire are three acrylic paintings that represent an enormous body of animal portraits by San Antonio-based artist Heather Gauthier.

Heather Gauthier is a San Antonio-based painter whose creative drive is fundamentally motivated by her need to invent and a deep love for aesthetics. Her style is the culmination of her experiences and influences in urban and rural settings. After a decade of living and working in Chicago and Africa, Heather and her family now reside in San Antonio where she works from her home studio and has regular gallery and cafe shows to present new projects and ideas. In addition to being featured on the PBS program ARTS and HGTV, Heather has a permanent collection hanging at the new children's museum in San Antonio, TX.
