With 1.2 million sq. ft. of exhibition, meeting and registration space, the George R. Brown Convention Center is one of the 10 largest conference facilities in the U.S. It features seven exhibit halls, 100 meeting rooms, a grand ballroom and a tiered amphitheater. The GRB hosts more 40 major conventions and 200 smaller events annually and is the hub of a blossoming Convention District on the east side of downtown Houston. It was opened in 1987 and expanded in 2003.
