The artistic duo, Havel Ruck Projects, made up of local artists, Dan Havel and Dean Ruck, will work to transform a previously abandoned house into an interactive temporary public sculpture. The installation will have large round holes cut into it and will be wallpapered inside with historic images. Visitors will be able to walk through the house, viewing both the modern skyscrapers of Downtown Houston alongside images from the city’s past. It’s a fitting addition to Sam Houston Park and The Heritage Society, which showcase other historic homes.
