The Houston Dynamo came to Houston from San Jose, CA in 2005.  With a blazing start, the Dynamo went to win back-to-back MLS Cup championships its first two seasons of existence.

The team is owned by majority owners Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) in partnership with Brener International Group (headed by Gabriel Brener), and multiple world and Olympic boxing champion Oscar De La Hoya.

The Dynamo play at PNC Stadium located at 2200 Texas Street.
