Dine Downtown: Super Bowl Sunday Edition

Thanksgiving aside, Super Bowl Sunday is the annual day of feasting in the U.S. Whether you’re rooting for a back to back Mahomes win or you’re here for the old guard [aka Brady], one thing remains true: snacks are a must. In between every touchdown, sack and pass-interference is the guaranteed trip to load up your plate. While watch parties may be a thing of the past, #DowntownHouston is here to make sure you can still get your grub on this Super Bowl Sunday.

Nothing is as synonymous with sports as loaded nachos, and no one serves them up better than this sports bar named after the iconic H-Town hero. Loaded with refried beans, bison chili, queso, cotija, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños and sour cream, we won’t blame you if you decide to keep this ooey, gooey goodness from Biggio’s Sport Bar all to yourself.

If juicy gourmet burgers are your thing, look no further than Flip ‘N Patties. Located in Understory, this fan-favorite eatery puts a Filipino spin on the classic handheld. Choose from creations like the puet, amboy or badger burger, or get crafty and create your own!

Home of the “late night slice”, Frank’s Pizza has a reputation for serving up delicious food in a great atmosphere. Grab a few slices, or heck, take home the whole pie! Prefer a more elevated option? Head next door to BOH Pasta & Pizza for Roman-style pizzas that will have you coming back for more. P.S. we 10/10 recommend the fennel sausage.

Is there a more iconic sports-watching food than wings? We think not. Saucy, spicy and oh-so-good, ordering wings from Pizza Zquare should be a no brainer.

Tater Tots
The newly opened The Nash is taking the tater tots of your childhood to new heights. Topped with roasted corn, jalapeño, herbed crema fresca, aged smoked cheddar and fresh cut chives, these tots are anything but ordinary.

French Fries
Everything’s better with a side of fries! While they're known for their abundance of brews, those who’ve spent an afternoon or two at the Saint Arnold Beer Garden know: these guys know fries. With options like Carolina, kim chi, Texan and fancy, there is no wrong choice here. In fact, we encourage ordering them all.

Head to Downtown’s one-stop-beer-shop for all your bottled [or canned] needs. As the largest Craft Beer Cellar location, this CBC has over 60 taps and an extensive retail selection. Make your beer run quick and easy by placing your order online.

Not into suds? Check out the Rustic Roadies. Complete with all the margaritas [frozen and on the rocks] you can think of, The Rustic’s selection is the icing on the cake to your Super Bowl Sunday.
