Changing wind conditions and ongoing restoration work require additional road and sidewalk closures in the focused area of Downtown where window repairs are concentrated. If your business is located within these blocks, Mayor Whitmire and Downtown Houston+ are requesting that all non-essential personnel work remotely from tomorrow, May 22nd through Memorial Day weekend. Understandably, road closures cause significant traffic delays, confusion and frustration, but diverting traffic and pedestrians will allow repairs to move faster and get all of Downtown back up and running as soon as possible.
